It’s a strange experience. For the first time in a very very long time, I have nothing to do on my book. The cover is completed – indeed thanks to the proof delivery service from Amazon’s Createspace, a physical copy of the book is actually sitting next to me on my bookshelf as I type this. I have added a photo of the book cover to its page and I hope you will agree it has got a really classic look, which is what I was aiming for. I have proof read and confirmed that the cover dimensions have been accurately calculated. I have a launch date set and while there are various things to do in the way of promotional activities, the book itself is a finalised document – set in stone.
I had expected that to be a slightly uncomfortable feeling, but the truth is that all I feel is excitement every time I see the book sitting there, finally having taken physical shape. I can’t wait until launch day, next week, and the knowledge that mine is no longer the only copy in existence. I hope some of you reading this will take the opportunity to buy it, and to let me know what you think. I hope you enjoy it – as much as I have enjoyed getting it to this point.
